Amanda Byrd is Communications Director for the Coalition for Inclusive Capitalism and the Council for Inclusive Capitalism. Amanda has led marketing communications and public affairs practices for companies large and small, non-profits, and startups for over a decade. Prior to joining the Coalition, Amanda headed the communications team at the U.S. Chamber Foundation, led public affairs at the Economic Innovation Group, and worked with numerous public policy, technology, and science industry clients in an agency setting.
Amanda serves on the alumni advisory committee for West Virginia University’s school of journalism and policy advisory committee of Column, a news technology company. She also volunteers with several local non-profit organizations as a mentor to young professional women. Amanda holds a Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Communications from West Virginia University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her fiancée.
